What's in this set:
A collaboration with Kozlik's Canadian Mustard. For Project Kari, we were inspired by an OG third-culture favourite: Japanese Curry, which was itself inspired by the spice-forward flavours found in curry powders that the British brought to the region via India in the 1800's. As we followed this journey of spice and flavour through the ages, and across continents and cultures, we wondered what it would be like to create something inspired by it in 2023 that was familiar-but-new, yet distinctly Canadian.
Our good friends at Kozlik’s have set the standard for Canadian mustard since 1948, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to incorporate their mustard as a key ingredient in the recipe for this project.

Hakka-ish Chili Crisp
Our flagship pantry shortcut and all-round bestseller! It is a one-of-a-kind union of Sichuanese and Indo-Chinese cooking (the latter was introduced to the world by the Hakka diaspora living in Kolkata, India.)
Our all-natural chili crisp has a balanced heat and enveloping umami, with a slight tingle from Sichuan peppercorns! Our addition of warm, earthy spices like cumin and cardamom will guarantee that you'll be intoxicated by the smells and flavours in this spice market in a jar!
Try it with: stir fries, noodles, as a hot sauce, on your charcuterie board, pizza, eggs, and even on vanilla ice cream!

Mogambo Garlic Spread
Mo (for short) is guaranteed to be your hardest working pantry shortcut, and is loved by restaurant chefs and home cooks alike. Skip the peeling, cutting, grating, and mincing and just swap in Mogambo anywhere you would consider using garlic.
As far as flavour goes: you can expect a smooth (and not overpowering) garlicky sweetness, a bright, lemony tang, and earthiness from turmeric and some of the other spices in there!
Try it with: Straight-up as a spread on toast or pita, like a dip for pizza or as achaar with your dal (or frankly, in the dal itself!). Our community loves to swirl Mogambo into scrambled eggs or to jazz up hummus. The Zing team loves using Mo as a marinade or curry starter. It's a game changer!

Buzz Hot Honey

Sacha-ish Chili Miso
Sacha-ish Chili Miso Condiment is a collaboration with Pay Chen, who is a familiar face and voice on TV and radio stations across the country, and writes about food and lifestyle for some of Canada's premier publications. Pay is Taiwanese-Canadian, and Sacha-ish is inspired in part by her some of her favourite food memories of hot pot where dipping sauces like shāchá jiàng were always a feature at the dinner table.
Expect earthy, salty-sweet, umami packed flavours that will add some depth with a little tangy, spicy twist to whatever you're making!
Try it with: use Sacha-ish to coat your favourite protein (or to top a steak!), as a dip for everything from chips to dumplings, for the best veggie stir fries and noodles, in your eggs, or as the ultimate sandwich spread! Some of our test kitchen users even used it as a vegan nduja!
