How it Started...

Hi everyone, Jannine here 👋 Zing started with the loaded question: so, what’s for dinner?

My partner Anush and I were both working in tech — long hours, longer weeks — and every night ended with us staring into the fridge, craving something bold but eating the same tired meals on repeat.

Our aha moment? Realizing that the mental load around dinner — the stress, the spiral, the same sad meals — was something so many people shared. And that restaurants had already solved it.

The secret? Flavour bases. Sauces, condiments, and shortcuts that make dinner fast and joyful.

We brought in our friend Kiran, a pro chef, as our third co-founder and launched Zing with two sauces and a mission: help people cook bold, flavour-packed food — without the stress.
