Yorkshire Pudding Burrito

Yorkshire Pudding Burrito

This recipe is rich, indulgent, comforting and delicious, and it’s made even better with the crispy, garlicky goodness of Hakka-ish Chili Garlic Crunch. This viral hit makes your best roast chicken recipe even better.

Serves 1-2

Prep time: 15 minutes

Cooking time: 35 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 45g all purpose flour
  • 75ml milk
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil/fat (we used bacon fat)
  • 2 tbsp Hakka-ish Garlic Chili Crunch
  • Roast dinner leftovers (see chefs notes)

Method:

  1. Preheat an oven to 425f
  2. In a bowl or jug, mix the egg and milk until smooth, and then gradually whisk in the flour until the batter is smooth. Place in the fridge until ready to use, overnight works best.
  3. Heat an approx 8 inch pan over a high heat. When very hot, add the oil, swirl to coat the pan, and pour in the batter.
  4. Place in the oven, and cook for 30 minutes. Don’t open the oven to check, it will make the yorkie collapse.
  5. When there’s a few minutes left on the timer, heat your fillings.
  6. Remove the Yorkshire pudding from the oven, place on a tray or plate, add the toppings, smother with leftover gravy, spoon over the Hakka-ish Crunch, and roll into a massive, decadent, delicious meal.

Chefs notes: We used leftovers from roast chicken, so chicken leg, roasted potatoes, stewed cabbage, stuffing, and of course gravy, but use whatever you have/prefer.
