Project Yaki is an all-purpose sauce developed in collaboration with Pay Chen โ€” built on the bold, savoury foundation of our Sacha-ish Chili Miso and inspired by classic Japanese tare. Itโ€™s umami-packed, tangy-sweet, with a spark of smoky heat, and a glossy finish that caramelizes beautifully.

The word โ€œyakiโ€ (็„ผใ) means โ€œto grillโ€ or โ€œcook over direct heatโ€ in Japanese โ€” but this sauce goes way beyond the BBQ. Use it for brushing, dipping, or drizzling: itโ€™s made for skewers and steaks, but just as good tossed into stir-fries, spooned over roasted veg, or swirled into a noodle bowl.
