BBQ Cheesesteak

Thin-sliced beef, peppers and onions, and provolone meet the bold, spicy-sweet kick of Project Yaki in this BBQ–inspired Philly cheesesteak twist.

Serves 2
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 hoagie rolls
  • 4 slices provolone/swiss cheese (or any cheese you like)
  • 4-6  tbsp Project Yaki
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1/2 a bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 an onion, sliced
  • Salt, to taste

Method:

  1. Heat a heavy based pan over a high heat, and add the oil.
  2. Add the steak, and season with a strong pinch of salt.
  3. Allow to brown before stirring, let it get good and golden brown, it should take 2-3 minutes.
  4. In a separate pan, sauté the peppers and onions for 2-3 minutes until barely softened.
  5. Add the Project Yaki sauce and stir, and add the peppers and onions. Place the cheese on top, and cook for a further 30 seconds until the steak is just cooked, and the cheese is melted, and add to the hoagie roll (or a baguette).
