Easy Mattar Paneer

This Mattar Paneer recipe uses Smoki Garam Masala as a flavourful shortcut, blending creamy paneer and sweet green peas in a rich, smoky-spiced tomato gravy. Perfect for a quick yet bold dish.

Ingredients:

½ a can of tomatoes

1 onion
-
4 cloves of garlic

1 inch piece of ginger
-
1 pack of paneer
-
3 tbsp heavy cream
-
Pinch of methi (fenugreek leaves)

1 cup of frozen peas

4 tbsp Smoki Garam Masala

Coriander leaves
-
1 tbsp cooking oil
Method:

Chop the onion, garlic and ginger. Heat the oil in a pan, and add the garlic, ginger and onions and saute until soft and starting to brown. Add the tomatoes, bring to a boil and remove from the heat.

Cut the paneer into cubes, place on a tray lined with parchment, and bake at 420f for 5 mins until browned on the outside.

Puree the onion and tomato mix and return to the pan.

Add ¾ of the Smoki and bring to a simmer.

Add the paneer, ⅔ o the cream, and the peas to the sauce and bring back to a simmer.

Spoon over the remaining cream, sprinkle over the remaining Smoki, methi and coriander leaves to finish.
